The Parched Painter now offers programs for the Girl Scouts

The area's first "paint and sip" venue, The Parched Painter, presents new kids programs in addition to its regular adult BYOB paint classes.

Walpole, MA - The Parched Painter, the area’s first “paint and sip” venue, has expanded its regular paint and sip classes to include daytime events for the girl scouts.  Girl Scout troops of all ages have the opportunity to earn four different badges: Brownie Painting badge, Junior Drawing badge, Cadet Comic Artist badge and a Daisy fun patch.  Each program is tailored to the requirements of the badge and costs only $22 per scout

The paint and sip studio, located in downtown Walpole in an airy loft-style gallery space, opened in July and has been hosting paint nights, private parties, birthday parties, and fundraisers for local residents to rave reviews.  The Parched Painter boasts an on-demand music system, comfortable stools and high tables for a true artistic experience.

Rich Bancroft, owner, is an accomplished artist and former Boy Scout.  As a scout, he created a mural at the Dedham Community House gym to fulfill his requirements to earn his Eagle Scout rank.  “The girl scout classes have been so much fun,” Rich said.  “The girls have had a great time learning the basics of sketching and have been so proud of their paintings at the end of the class.”
