Pedestrian Hit by Car Saturday Dies from Injuries

The 20-year-old Haverhill man hit by a car Saturday night on Beaver Street in Waltham near Bentley University died from his injuries Monday at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, according to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune.
Travis Yell was visiting his girlfriend, a student at Bentley University, when he was struck walking to his car at about 11:45 p.m., according to the report.

Yell was a Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School graduate and was currently studying business at Northern Essex Community College, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
The crash remains under investigation. Police told the Eagle-Tribune the driver was not under the influence and speed does not appear to be a factor.

Yell was the second pedestrian to be struck and killed by a car in Waltham last week. On Wednesday morning, an 82-year-old Waltham man, Vitezslav “Victor” Dorazil, was struck and killed on Forest Street in Waltham by a driver allegedly under the influence of drugs.
