Sox Slugger Kyle Schwarber's Pizza Party For Waltham Fire, Police
The adopted son of the Watch City sent pizza to the departments prior to Friday night's ALCS Game 6.

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham police officers and firefighters enjoyed a treat for dinner Friday night courtesy of the Watch City's newest adopted son.
Red Sox first baseman Kyle Schwarber — who wore a Waltham Hawks T-shirt in his postgame press conference following a Game 3 American League Championship Series victory Monday night — had more than two dozen pizzas sent to Waltham police and fire stations late Friday afternoon.

And while Schwarber's story with the Red Sox did not exactly have a happy ending with a season-ending, 5-0 loss to the Houston Astros later that night, the story of "Kyle from Waltham" continued to evolve with Waltham firefighters saying they decided to "pay it forward" and have pizzas sent to the fire department of Middletown, Ohio — Schwarber's actual hometown.

On Tuesday, Schwarber responded on Twitter to a video message from members of the Waltham Boys & Girls Club telling him that his "hometown" was proud of him and wishing him luck in the rest of the ALCS.
😂 thanks guys! Going to need your continued support! Keep up all the great work guys! https://t.co/wU3xji26pQ
