Waltham Group Launches "Share a Coffee" Event To Prevent Domestic Violence
Event runs through this month.

Most people don't think of preventing domestic violence when they get their morning joe.
Coffee, according to a local anti-domestic violence group, can help prevent domestic violence.
REACH Beyond Domestic Violence has launched its "Share A Cup of Coffee" campaign intended to help people build relationships with others in hopes that it can prevent domestic violence. The event is the latest part of , according to REACH Community organizer Allison Berry.

“Being able to talk to one and another … can really help to build a safer community,” Berry told Waltham Patch in an interview.
REACH is parterning with local restaurants to hold coffee events to promote the event. REACH is still looking for local organizations to host coffee events. E-mail Berry for more information.

Participants are encouraged to to post their experiences on REACH's Facebook page, according to Berry. Participants that share ther experience will receive a free coffee mug, Berry said. Check out the PDF to the phot box at right for conversation starters!
People that don't drink coffee can substitute it with hot chocolate, tea, chai or any other beverage.
