Here's a list of 2017 candidates running for Waltham City Councilor and their websites. And the list of election dates to know.

WALTHAM, MA — Watham voters went to the polls on November 7 to vote for city counselors and school committee members. For some it's been a long election season. Didn't we just vote? Yes. on Sept. 19 the field was narrowed for those wards with more than two candidates running. (Wards 8, 5, and 1, we're looking at you). Now comes the final round. The question: Will incumbents be knocked out for the newcomers? In some wards city councilors are being challenged for the first time in recent memory.

And the quick run down on why elections for those of you who just moved to the city or those who just need a refresher (if you already know all this, you can skip down to the who's who below): Every two years the entire council is up for reelection. The City Council is made up of 15 people elected for two year terms (six are elected by the entire city "at large" and then each Ward chooses one representative). And they all have equal voting authority in the City Council.
