Buzzard's Bay Coalition purchases 100 acres of bog land (theweektoday.com) — Wareham voters' approval of $700,000 in Community Preservation funds has helped the Buzzards Bay Coalition buy 100 acres of cranberry bogs along Route 6 to restore Beaver Dam Creek and protect the Weweantic River. The land will be permanently conserved for public access, with ecological work planned while the current farmer continues limited cranberry harvesting for the next two years.
