2-Alarm Watertown Fire Brought Under Control

Crews battled a fire on Clarendon Street Tuesday evening.

WATERTOWN, MA – A two-alarm fire burned cars and a commercial building on Clarendon Street in Watertown Tuesday evening.

Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 5 p.m. and brought the fire under control about 40 minutes later, according to the Watertown News.

The building was being rented by exercise group Crossfit Arsenal, 7-News reported. The owner told the network a power pole with a transformer on it fell on the cars in the parking lot, prompting everyone inside to run out the back of the building.
