Solo works, chamber music, and songs written by Haydn for women whom he befriended during his two London sojourns. Sylvia celebrates the release of her debut CD (Haydn: London Sonatas) in a program featuring beloved and sparkling works by Haydn written for women he befriended during his two London sojourns: The virtuoso pianist Therese Jansen Bartolozzi; the Scottish poetess Anne Hunter; and his student Rebecca Schroeter. Chamber music, piano works, and songs performed on a recently restored Broadwood grand with members of the Handel and Haydn society and jubilant soprano Anney Barrett. Admission is $20, $15 members.
