Pair Indicted For Watertown Shooting

The Middlesex DA's office on Thursday announced indictments handed down between April 24 and May 29.

WATERTOWN, MA – Three cases with ties to Watertown are among the latest round of indictments in Middlesex County. District Attorney Marian Ryan on Monday announced indictments handed down between April 24 and May 29.

Included in the indictments are two men charged in connection with a shooting in Watertown earlier this year.

Carlos Castillo, 19, of Boston, was charged with armed assault in a dwelling, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery by discharging a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of a loaded firearm. The Assistant District Attorney is Clarence Brown.

Randell Glenn, 22, of Randolph, was charged with armed assault in a dwelling, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, and assault and battery by discharging a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of a loaded firearm. The Assistant District Attorney is Clarence Brown.

Castillo and Glenn were arrested in March and charged in the shooting of a Watertown man in his 20s. The man was dropped off at Mount Auburn Hospital around 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 24 with multiple gunshot wounds. He survived the shooting.

Jason Dalencar, 40, of Watertown, was charged with trafficking a Class B substance (2 counts), possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class E substance, and possession of a firearm without a license. The Assistant District Attorney is Nils Lundblad.

Dalencar was arrested in December after a six-month investigation into his alleged drug dealing in three communities. Officers seized cash, a gun and ammunition, brass knuckles and pills, police said at the time.
