With a lighter workload expected than the intensive 2021 review, officials will soon share how you can apply, and any proposed changes will ultimately go before Watertown voters for approval.
   

• Dozens of Watertown Residents Participating in the 38th Annual Jimmy Fund Walk (watertownmanews.com) — Nineteen Watertown residents are gearing up to join thousands of walkers in the Jimmy Fund Walk for Dana-Farber on Oct. 4, raising money for cancer research and care. Participants can choose several distances along the Boston Marathon route or walk virtually, with registration discounts, volunteer opportunities, and finish-line festivities planned on Boston Common.
   

• Panel to Discuss Understanding & Preventing Domestic Violence in Wake of 2025 Tragedy in Watertown (watertownmanews.com) — A regional panel on understanding and preventing domestic violence is being held Oct. 8 at Belmont Public Library, inspired in part by a 2025 tragedy that deeply affected Watertown's Armenian community. Speakers will share personal experiences and practical guidance on recognizing abuse, supporting survivors, and building safer communities, with both in-person and Zoom options and free registration required by Oct. 4.
