Pleasant Street Closed Because of Waltham Water Main Break

The street is closed to all non-residents.

  • Update: Waltham police reported River Street and Seyon and Farwell Streets are now open. North street in Newton was reopened Tuesday night but motorists are urged to use caution. Pleasant street has also been reopened. The area of the leak is still under construction. See the most recent photo of the scene HERE.

WATERTOWN, MA - Watertown police said Pleasant street is closed to all non-residents after a major water main break in Waltham.

The break happened at 36 River St in Waltham, according to Waltham’s official Twitter page. Pleasant and North Street are completely blocked. Newton police said North street heading into Waltham is also closed.

The leak has been isolated according to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.
