State Primary: Devaney wins Governor's Council Race, Tierney wins GOP Race for Congress
Watertown had a 11 percent turnout in Thursday's State Primary.

Watertown's Marilyn Devaney will run for her eighth term on the Governor's Council in November after winning the Democratic primary Thursday, while Tom Tierney won the chance to take on Ed Markey in the Congressional race.
Devaney defeated Brookline's Harry Margolis and Newton's Charlie Shapiro in the race for the Third District of the Governor's Council. .
Framingham's Tom Tierney defeated two challengers - Frank Addivinola of Boston and Lexington's Jeff Semon - in the Republican primary for the 5th Congressional District. He will face Democratic incumbent Ed Markey in the November general election.
