Trapelo Road Reconstruction Ribbon Cutting in Watertown
The ceremony marking the project's completion will be held Wednesday morning.

WATERTOWN, MA – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will celebrate the completion of the Trapelo Road Reconstruction project with a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning in Watertown.
Transportation Secretary and CEO Stephanie Pollack, Highway Administrator Thomas Tinlin and State Senator Will Brownsberger will be on hand for the ceremony, which begins at 8 a.m. at the corner of Trapelo Road and Belmont Street.
The Trapelo Road Reconstruction project was a complete revitalization of Trapelo Road from Waverly Oaks to Belmont Street and Belmont Street from Trapelo Road to Brimmer Street. The $17.1 million project addressed traffic signal issues and improved movement and safety for pedestrians and vehicles.

Improvements include new sidewalks, marked bike lanes and landscaping items, as well as replacing the MBTA catenary poles along the roadway.
