Watertown Conflict Resolution Course Channels Martin Luther King
The Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation course will apply the civil rights leader's philosophy and methodology to current conflicts.
WATERTOWN, MA – A new community course on conflict resolution channels one of history's greatest mediators.
The Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation course applies Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s philosophy and methodology to our present-day conflicts. It consists of two 16-hour courses, taught by certified trainers from Watertown middle and high schools, Watertown Public Schools and Watertown Police Department.
Created by Dr. Bernard Lafayette, a key figure in the civil rights movement and educator of nonviolent conflict resolution, the course will apply King's teachings at both a personal and societal level.

The classes will be held Saturday, Jan. 28 and Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Watertown Middle School library. The deadline to register is Jan. 6.
