Watertown PD Warn Against Coronavirus Scams
A fake Craigslist ad was offering false services related to coronavirus is one of the newest scams police are warning against.
WATERTOWN, MA — Scammers are using the new coronavirus to target residents. Watertown police warned about a Craigslist ad they were alerted to by a resident.
The ad claims a brother duo is looking to use their consulting services to help teach people how to prevent contracting and spreading the coronavirus. The ad says the pair will "inspect your living conditions," and offer recommendations.
Watertown police said, "If you receive an offer/ad, such as pictured below, check the validity of it by emailing it to the WPD at COVID19@police.watertown-ma.gov."
