What Makes the Perkins Brothers so Awesome?: Atrium School first-grader Fitch Perkins took top spot in his grade level at the Newton Community Pride fourth annual Spelling Bee on March 7. His winning word was "abide." His brother Wilder also took first-place in the third grade division on March 9.

Fitch and Wilder live in Newton and attend The Atrium School in Watertown, an independent elementary school.

Fitch’s teacher, Liz Perekrests, said, “At the Atrium, we help each child follow his or her passion and take on new challenges. Fitch's love of words inspires our whole classroom.”
