Blog: Sen. Scott Brown Wins Debate

Scott Brown won the first debate in style and substance.

Harvard professor Elizabeth Warren attended her first debate against Sen. Scott Brown and revealed her true self to the people of Massachusetts.

It was evident that Democratic strategists had advised Warren to lower her voice during the debate as she uncharacteristically spoke in a measured whisper tone.  Warren’s ad campaign prior to the debate was completely revamped to remove most footage of her speaking as people responded so negatively to her customary shrill tone. Warren came across as flat and robotic, and her constant twitching head motions were hard to watch, as was her "deer in the headlights" expression anytime that Scott Brown spoke.

Sen. Brown was cool, calm and on his game. He will not raise our taxes and and is committed to work in a bipartisan way. Warren on the other hand reverted back to her talking points of: Big Oil; she's for the middle class; and somehow something is "rigged." I'm not sure what is rigged except maybe her getting paid over 300K for teaching one class. What’s fair about that?

Voters learned that Warren will not apologize for perpetuating the lie that she is Native American. When handed facts, the professor instead denied and changed the subject.

Sen. Brown had to explain his votes to Professor Warren in great detail because she had her research team try to create new narratives for each vote. Her use of high school debate tricks was to no avail since Scott Brown had commonsense answers.  Warren was clearly worried and it showed. Sen. Brown proved again what a bipartisan senator can accomplish when he votes for the best interest of his constituents instead of being an ideologue. Warren made it clear that she will be a puppet of the Democrats and their destructive ideas which continue to slow the economy. Warren tried linking herself to Obama, thinking that would help her approval rating. Well, Obama didn't have a good day today either.

Round one goes to Sen. Brown.
