GOP Convention a Success

The Republican National Convention is over and Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan leave Tampa, Fla., with a bump in the polls and thousands of people energized at the prospect of our next President – Mitt Romney.  Ann Romney's speech was heartfelt and genuine, giving us insight into her marriage and Mitt’s integrity and character, emphatically stating that Mitt would "not let us down." In watching the convention you came away with the feeling that Romney and Ryan will not let America down. Speaker after speaker extolled the virtues, morals, humanitarianism, firm leadership and love of America Mitt Romney has. Barack Obama just can't measure up to Mitt Romney.

Americans are seeing more of Mitt Romney and they are liking what they are seeing. More to the point, when compared to the failure Obama has been, Romney looks so much better. According to Gallup, less than 50 percent approve of the job Obama has done.

Want the local angle? Here's what I've found out recently when I wore my Romney hat. At Framingham Stop & Shop a female cashier and the young man who was bagging saw my hat and could not say enough about how they can't wait for Romney to be president. Even the deli guys articulated that Romney was their choice. I heard the same type of thing from a technician at a nearby Honda dealership, then a nurse, followed by a heavy equipment operator. This all happened in a space of a week and it happens each time I wear my hat. 

Everyday middle class people see clearly - that Obama has been a failure and Romney is the man to clean up the mess and get America working and innovating again.

The Obama "Hope & Change" train has come to a halt. 

Over 3 million have been added to the Disability Insurance rolls. Food Stamps have skyrocketed to 45 million Americans in Fiscal Year 2011. The Democrats keep telling us they are adding jobs every month, but it doesn't keep up with those entering the workforce. Private sector jobs today are nearly 4 million below 2008 levels. Businesses are not expanding as they once did or hiring because this Obama administration is at war with Capitalism and corporations. Why should companies expand in this environment?

This is why everyday Americans will vote for Mitt Romney.  

The Obama re-election slogan is the old Marxist slogan: "Forward." Obama doesn't want America to go forward as America. In Obama's America no one is rewarded for success, they are punished. The bad decision makers amongst us are rewarded with taxpayers money. Illegal immigrants take college seats from hard working Americans. Obama scolds business owners with, "You didn't build that."

Obama truly wants to "re-make" America into something Americans do not recognize. On Election Day, Americans will take back their country and give an accomplished businessman a try with Romney.
