The Circus is Coming to Town - June 15, 2013
Wayland Celebrates 375 years with a circus, carnival and much more.
Wayland commemorates its 375th year with OPENING DAY on June 15, 2013.
Join in the festivities all day long by taking the orange and green trolley car from one site to the next -- to all three major locations between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Start your day at the North Cemetery and learn about the early settlements in 1638 with our Scavenger Hunt and Walking Tour.

Take a tour of the Grout-Heard House and grab some breakfast refreshments before you make your way on to Fire Station 2 where we will be building a We-Tu (wigwam) with the Praying Indians.
Next Stop - THE CIRCUS - Make sure you get your tickets for the 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. show of Moody Street Circus. See Sacha Pavlata from the Flying Walenda's (touring summer 2013) do his Cloud swing and high wire act 25 feet in the air. His wife, Melina, and daughter, Zoe, fly equally high on the Lyra swing and trapeze.

Get your cotton candy, hot dogs and popcorn. Add 12 clowns from Clowing Kidz Foundation, balloon artists, yo yo acts and much more and there is fun for mom, dad, grandparents and everyone else.
Our Carnival Extraordinaire and Stop & Shop Food Pavilion will be open from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Play some of the old fashioned games from your childhood, get your face painted, dunk your favorite policeman or coach and ride the train. Show off your muscles by hitting the high striker and win TONS OF PRIZES - your day with family will be a ton of fun!
