College Fairs for a Variety of Students

Fairs provide opportunities for students and parents to see what is available post-high school.

Many students and parents could use some advice when it comes to decisions for what to do after high school. A couple of upcoming college fairs could help.

On Thursday, March 24, the 5th annual College Fair for Students with Learning Differences will be held in the Woburn Memorial High School cafeteria from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Fifteen colleges are expected to attend including: Bay State, Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, Berkshire Hills Music Academy, Bunker Hill, Curry College, Dean College, ITT Tech, Johnson and Wales, Landmark, Lesley University (Threshold Program), Lincoln Tech, Marshall University, Merrimack, Middlesex, and New England Institute of Technology.

The event, hosted by Woburn High and Woburn's Special Education Parent Advisory Council (www.woburnPAC.org) is free and open to students, their families, and teachers.

Then, on Saturday, March 26, the Sudbury Education Resource Fund will host a college fair at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Seminars covering everything from planning for college to study skills for success to gap program options will be offered.
