Kindergarten Information Meeting

The Wayland Public Schools is pleased to announce that registration for its September 2012 kindergarten program is about to begin.  To be eligible, all children must be five years of age before August 31st, 2012.  Thus, parents of children born between 9/1/06 – 8/31/07 should register their child.  Packets have been mailed to families with information regarding the Kindergarten options and enrollment procedures.  Parents who remain uncertain of their desire to enroll their child are urged to register the child as well. 

Informational meeting regarding Kindergarten options at the Loker Elementary School.  Wayland offers the Traditional Kindergarten program, a Tuition-based Full Day program and Before and After School programming options.  The opportunities and unique characteristics of each program will be addressed at this meeting.  The gathering is intended for parents only.

Registration begins on-line and then requires submission of paperwork from the packet.   Registration opens on Tuesday February 14 at 9:00 AM and enrollment in the Full Day program will be based on the earliest registration dates.  To register, please log on to the Wayland Public Schools website, www.wayland.k12.ma.us and click on “Kindergarten Registration” and follow the directions.  For families unable to register on-line, please call Christine Eisnor at Loker School (508-655-6404).  The deadline for registration is Friday March 9, 2012.

Parents who have not received registration materials, have any questions about the registration process and/or have questions about their child entering kindergarten are requested to call Gretchen Lutz, Early Childhood Coordinator of the Wayland Public Schools, at 508-358-3759.  The Wayland Public Schools looks forward to greeting the kindergarten class of 2012.
