Happy Hollow Students, Parents Enjoy Annual Farmer's Market
Kids, parents and teachers shopped the goods at the farmer's market held Sept. 15 at Happy Hollow in Wayland.

The PTO’s Wellness Committee held its annual Farmer’s Market on Sept. 15 with fresh fruits and vegetables available for sale to parents, students and teachers.
The produce was provided by Lanni Orchards of Lunenburg and the selection included tomatoes, carrots, butternut squash, cucumbers, nectarines and apples.

The funds raised at the Farmer's Market go toward the purchase of prizes to be awarded for the PTO-sponsored Nutrition Challenge held each year at the school and toward supplying wellness-related items, such balls and jump ropes for the playground.
Stephanie Howard-Delman, mother of two Wayland students and chair of the Wellness Committee, has run the Farmer’s Market for five years.

"We are thrilled to offer families the opportunity to eat seasonal, local produce and to promote the consumption of highly nutritious fruits and vegetables," said Howard-Delman.
