Kindergarten Registration Begins Feb. 14 [POLL]

Wayland offers traditional and tuition-based full-day options.

Wayland Public Schools will open kindergarten registration for the 2012-13 school year at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Wayland offers a traditional, half-day kindergarten program as well as a tuition-based, full-day kindergarten program that is enrolled based on earilest registration dates. Children must be 5 years old by Aug. 31, 2012 to enroll in kindergarten for the 2012-13 school year.

The traditional kindergarten program is offered at no cost, while the full-day program carries a tuition fee of $4,000 for the year.

Registration will be conducted primarily online with parents submitting copies of the necessary paperwork. To register, visit www.wayland.k12.ma.us and click "Kindergarten Registration."

Families unable to register on-line may call Christine Eisnor at at 508-655-6404. Anyone who has not yet received registration materials, have any questions about the registration process or have questions about their child entering kindergarten may call Gretchen Lutz, early childhood coordinator of the Wayland Public Schools, at 508-358-3759.

Dates to remember:

  • Feb. 13, 7 p.m. - Information night at the Loker School for parents of incoming kindergartners.
  • March 9 – Deadline to register for kindergarten.
