Laptop Pickup Schedule, Other Info

It's been in , and this fall it will come to pass. Wayland High School is implementing a program that will equip every student in all grades with a laptop.

You've likely heard much about this already, but in case you missed something, here are some key details.

The first thing to keep in mind is that parents MUST come with their child to pick up the laptop during the scheduled times below.

When:

Pick up will be available ONLY from 8 a.m. to noon OR 1 p.m.–4 p.m., unless otherwise noted.

• August 20 - Grade 9
• August 21 - Grade 10
• August 22 - Grade 11
• August 23 - Grade 12
• August 29 at 7:30 p.m. - Boston Residents - All grades will be distributed during the Welcome Back Meeting at Wayland High School Library Media Center.

Parents and students should make every effort to attend the scheduled dates above, but a few alternate dates and times are available:

• August 28 - 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• August 29 - 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Before picking up the laptop:

• Read the Laptop Care, Maintenance and Support Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).  
• If you did not pay the optional $60 support and maintenance fee, you must purchase a hard case for the computer and bring it with you on pick-up day.
• Bring the signed Support Agreement with you, along with a padded backpack or laptop sleeve.
