Wayland native Marina Keegan died in a tragic 2012 car accident just days after graduating from Yale University.

Her surviving and prolific writings, however, continue to touch people around the globe, most recently through a collection of her works titled after one of her final essays, “The Opposite of Loneliness.”

Members of the Wayland Reads planning committee want to help the book touch lives of Keegan’s friends and neighbors and have selected the book as the 2015 Wayland Reads selection.

Events are scheduled throughout the spring and will kick off with a reading and discussion at Wayland High School on March 1. Keegan’s parents, Kevin and Tracy Keegan, will be on hand to help lead the discussion.
