PHOTOS: Celebrating Fifty-Plus Years of Teaching

Happy Hollow School in Wayland bid farewell to two of its teachers this week during a joint retirement party.

A roomful of people turned out Wednesday afternoon to offer well wishes and gratitude to Ruth Brenneman and Meg Mozdiez, two Happy Hollow teachers with nearly 60 years of teaching experience between them.

Brenneman has been teaching for 28 years and came to the Wayland Public Schools 22 years ago from Natick.

Mozdiez has spent more than 16 years in Wayland and taught in Wellesley and Framingham before that for a total of 30 years as a teacher.

The retirement party was originally scheduled to take place in the courtyard at Happy Hollow, but the scorching temps moved the party indoors.
