Viewfinder: Loker Kindergartners 'Solve' Marine Mystery
Mr. and Mrs. Fish educate Wayland youngsters with ocean facts and laughs.
On Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Fish of South Portland, Maine (a.k.a. Jeff and Deb Sandler) dropped by the Loker School to ask the kindergarten classes to help solve a mystery: Who was drilling holes in clam shells found on the beach?
In the context of investigating this mystery, the Sandlers provided many interesting facts about ocean life, and presented several marine creatures in the form of Mr. Fish in costume.
"It is generally stressful for live creatures to be used in presentations, so this is a preferable approach," said Mrs. Fish. "The costumes are both scientifically accurate, and very entertaining for the children."
