Sitting Ducks No More: Wayland Firefighters Rescue 10 Ducklings
The ducklings were trapped in a storm drain.

WAYLAND, MA — Spring is baby season and for some fire departments, that means unusual calls for animal rescue. Wayland Fire Department received one such call on Saturday and jumped into action to rescue the little guys.
The ducklings were caught in a storm drain on Rolling Lane and officials found a total of ten ducklings stuck down there. Wayland Firefighters Dan Spurling and Mitch Mabardy had some help from Police Officer Tyler Reeves and pulled the babies to safety.
