Wayland Has 'Signing Day' for Athletes Headed to Play College Sports

Wayland has an unusually high percentage of students who are also athletes.

The following was submitted by the Wayland Boosters:

The Wayland Athletic Department and the Wayland Boosters will be having a “Signing Day” Ceremony to recognize the Senior student-athletes who will be playing Division I, II or III athletics in college next year. Wayland High boasts an impressive 80 percent student-athlete population--higher than the state average and one of the largest compared to similar sized public schools.

The event takes place on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 2:30 p.m. at Wayland High School.
