Wayland High Named #3 Best Public School By Boston Magazine

Wayland came out on top compared to other high schools in Greater Boston.

WAYLAND, MA — Wayland High School came in third place in Boston Magazine's list of the best public high schools in Boston. Using data from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Boston Magazine's team compiled the best public schools that are within, or partially within, I-495.

Wayland finished third out of the 149 schools that were ranked. The rankings were determined by factors such as SAT scores, student-teacher ratios, graduation rates, according to the magazine. Wayland High has an average class size of about 16 students, with a 12:1 student-teacher ratio. With an enrollment of 846 students, Wayland High has a 99 percent graduation rate.

Wayland High was beat out for the top two spots by Dover-Sherborn Regional High School which came in at number one and Acton-Boxborough Regional High School which came in at number two.
