Wayland Town Administrator Leaving For Framingham Job
Louise Miller will become the new chief financial officer in Framingham under mayor-elect Charlie Sisitsky.

WAYLAND, MA — Wayland Town Administrator Louise Miller will soon step down to take a job as Framingham's new chief financial officer.
Incoming Framingham mayor Charlie Sisitsky announced Miller's hiring on Monday as he prepares to take office on Jan. 1. Miller was hired as the town's chief administrator in 2018 after serving as budget manager at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA).
“Working right next door to, and in conjunction with Framingham, as well as with the MWRA the last six years, has given me great insight in the workings of the community,” Miller said in a news release. “I share the mayor’s agenda, from pandemic recovery to civic engagement, and look forward to helping him succeed.”

In a joint statement Monday, the Wayland Board of Selectmen said Miller's contract is not up until September 2022. The town has amended her contract to end Jan. 21.
"Miller has enjoyed her work in Wayland, as well as favorable reviews, during her three years employed by the town. The BOS wishes her well in her next endeavor," the statement from Chair Tom Fay said.

Miller will step into a role that has been left unfilled since the summer, when longtime Framingham CFO Mary Ellen Kelley announced her retirement. Among the biggest problems Miller may face when she takes over in Framingham: a recurring deficit in the city's water and sewer funds.
Sisitsky also announced Monday that Michael Tusino, head of inspection services in Framingham, will take over as chief operating officer.
