Wayland Business Association Awards Grant for Wellness Summit

The Wayland Business Association is helping fund the upcoming Wellness Summit.

The WaylandCares Wellness Summit will take place Sunday, March 18 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at . The summit is intended to provide information about a variety of health issues affecting teens. Topics include nutrition, anxiety and depression, alcohol and marijuana information, sexuality, preparing for life after high school, social host laws, concussion information, yoga for stress relief, social media and online safety, and more.

The Wellness Summit is a conference-style event featuring concurrent sessions. Participating teenagers and their families can choose which sessions to attend.

The WBA includes about 100 local businesses. "Aside from promoting local products and services, the organization provides grants to local non-profit organizations that serve the community and also funds annual scholarships to WHS students," according to a press release.
