Craig Carter & The Hurricane

When you think of Craig Carter and The Hurricane, think Neil Young meets Jeff Beck. Carter’s distinctive smooth and powerful vocal style and Billy Sciore’s explosive and mesmerizing lead guitar work, coupled with the heart pounding rhythm section of Steve Gilligan on bass and Denis Semperbon on drums, provide an undeniably exciting musical experience. While Hurricane season doesn't usually start until late August, the Goddesses insisted that Craig return with his band for an early command performance

Wednesday, June 17 from 6-7:30pm

Jamie Walker & Friends

Jamie Walker has been writing songs and performing for over 50 years, in the Boston area and across the United States. His band, Swinging Steaks, achieved national success when they were signed by Capricorn Records and toured with notable acts, including Los Lobos, The Band, and The Black Crows. The "Steaks" also appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and NPR's Mountain Stage. Jamie Walker and Friends is a "virtual" band that includes notable musicians in the Boston area that have played with Jamie over the years, and they explore new compositions and new interpretations of old favorites. Jamie has played the Goddess Garden many times, and the Goddesses are "big" fans.

Wednesday, July 8 from 6-7:30pm

Wednesday, July 15 from 6-7:30pm

Backwards Hats

Originally a family band, Chris, Livi and Jerry began exploring vocal harmonies to accompany their tunes; that was in 2002. Rehearsing in their music room at home in the ensuing years, the sessions brought many musicians together. With the core group, others became extended family and ultimately full time members of the band: veteran professional bass player McGregor ‘Mac' McGehee, and professional multi-instrumentalist and mandolin player Doug Ambos. Backwards Hats, with their unique vibe, loves playing for a variety of audiences, and occupies a special niche in music entertainment.
