Come visit the swamp this summer at Wellesley Theatre Project (WTP) as they bring a Dreamworks favorite to life in an exciting summer production of Shrek, The Musical KIDS! Performances will be held July 9, 10 and 11 at 5pm and July 11th at 2pm, at the Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College (219 Babson College Drive, Wellesley, MA 02481).
Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for students and seniors when purchased in advance at www.wellesleytheatreproject.org, or $20 for adults and $12 for students and seniors at the door.
Join Shrek, the lovable ogre with a heart of gold, on a hilarious and heartwarming adventure in this playful musical adaptation. When fairy-tale characters suddenly invade his swamp, Shrek embarks on a journey to reclaim his home—teaming up with the endlessly talkative Donkey and unexpectedly forming a bond with the feisty Princess Fiona. Along the way, they confront the pint-sized villain Lord Farquaad and discover that true beauty comes from within. Packed with humor, charm, and unforgettable characters, Shrek, The Musical KIDS shows that everyone deserves their own happily-ever-after.
Wellesley Theatre Project is proud to present Shrek, the Musical KIDS through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). The show features two casts totaling 50 students, ages 7–13, from Wellesley and neighboring communities including Needham, Newton, Weston, Medfield, Wayland, Framingham, Dedham, Jamaica Plain, and Brookline.

Shrek, The Musical KIDS features a Book and Lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, Music by Jeanine Tesori, and is based on the DreamWorks Animation Motion Picture and the Book by William Steig.
Make it a summer full of WTP Theatre! On July 16th, and 17th at 5pm and July 18th at 2pm and 5pm, journey into the most iconic fairytale of all time at the Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College for WTP’s first session of Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Youth Edition! On July 16th-18th, 30th, 31st, and August 1st at 7:30pm, join WTP for The Sound of Music, our inagural Community Production! We hope you’ll join us for this summer filled with magic and theatre!
