Duke University Student from Wellesley Killed in Early-Morning Car Crash

Duke Today reported the incident this morning.

A Duke University student originally from Wellesley died early this morning in a car accident, according to Duke Today, a campus publication.

Matthew Grape, 21, was killed in the one-vehicle crash, which occurred at 2:40 a.m., according to Duke Today.

Grape was a passenger in the vehicle, which was being driven by Lee Royster, who Durham, N.C. police charged with driving while impaired. Royster was treated for minor injuries.
