LINX Theater Introduces Popular Show Titles for Middle School Children

Wellesley, MA – May 7, 2015 - In response to extensive parent and student feedback, LINX Theater of Wellesley has introduced more fall theater program options with more popular titles for middle school children. LINX’s Broadway Blast program for kids in grades 6 – 8 features a performance of Into The Woods Jr., an adaptation of Sondheim’s most popular works. Young actors will take on the specific roles, both large and small, of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and more in the expanded program.

LINX hopes to fill the need of middle school students who crave an advanced theater class and who want to participate in a well-known play in addition to or in place of what they are currently doing in school. LINX Theater and Voice Instructor Katie Preisig explained, “Being the best actor you can be requires both training and experience. Our Broadway Blast program offers both. We are excited to have launched a program for young people who want to be challenged as musical theater performers, beyond their school experiences. They will learn advanced technique that puts them a step ahead of the competition, while having the experience of a lifetime.”

LINX, now in its 9th year of operation, offers performing arts classes and camps to challenge and encourage the development of LINX members, providing them resources that will aid them in all walks of life.
