NRC Chair: Fuller Brook Drainage Requires Action
Neal Seaborn gives a presentation about the importance of fixing brook's drainage.
Of the three elements Fuller Brook Park officials intend to fix, it's the poor drainage residents are most likely to have noticed.
They just may not have realized May flooding along the park was due to poor drainage exacerbated by invasive species that prevent storm water from soaking into the ground.
Wellesley is planning an overhaul of Fuller Brook Park, including drainage, a fix for the path's surface and removal of about 100 trees. The town is seeking public input during a series of public forums beginning Sept. 15, and hopes residents will show up to those meetings informed about the challenges and ready to offer ideas. In this video, NRC Chairman Neal Seaborn points out the problems with storm water drainage, and how it affects the town.
