• Geraldine 'Gerri' Piscitelli (villages-news.com) — Longtime Wellesley resident Geraldine "Gerri" Piscitelli, who founded the town's Creative Arts Council and enriched thousands of local students through arts programming, has died at 85. Her life spanned teaching in several states, deep involvement in music and opera communities, and a large, close-knit family who plan a future memorial and ask that donations support young musicians in her honor.
   

• Wellesley Goes Tuition-Free At $200,000, Joining Harvard And MIT (thecollegeinvestor.com) — Families in Wellesley and beyond may benefit from Wellesley College's new Tuition Promise, which will waive tuition for students from U.S. families earning under $200,000 starting in fall 2027. Local applicants should note that room, board, and fees can still total over $23,000 annually, making careful planning and net price calculations essential despite the headline of "free tuition."
