Rte.16 Bridge To Be Dedicated To Former Sen. David Locke
Friday ceremony to take place at 1 p.m.

Former state senator David Locke, Wellesley resident, long-serving member of Town Meeting and former selectman, will have the Rte. 16 bridge over Rte. 9 dedicated to him Friday.
On Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. there will be a dedication ceremony at the bridge honoring Locke. U.S. Senator Scott Brown, members of the Wellesley state legislative delegation and local officials are expected to attend.
After the ceremony, said Selectman Chairman Katherine "Gig" Babson at Monday night's selectmen's meeting, area businesses will host an open house, and are encouraging residents to stop in to celebrate the occasion. "It should be a good time and a great opportunity to honor Senator Locke," Babson said.
