Wellesley Police Present Natick Woman with Citizen Commendation
A Natick teen witnessed a crime in progress and was commended by Wellesley Police.

Chief Terrence M. Cunningham and Officer Nate Derby presented a 19-year-old Natick woman a citizen commendation Dec. 20 for acting quickly after witnessing a crime in progress.
Danielle Caouette witnessed a suspect steal $1,500 worth of smart phones from a T-Mobile store in Framingham Dec. 13, according to an announcement on the Wellesley Police Department’s website.
“Danielle promptly dialed 911, and then discreetly followed the suspect as he fled on Route 9 through Natick and into Wellesley,” the announcement said.

The Natick Police Department notified Wellesley. Derby pulled the suspect’s vehicle over on Route 9 near Oakland Street, arrested two people for the theft and the property was recovered.
“Danielle was directly responsible for the capture of the suspects,” the announcement said.
