Wellesley Resident Susan H. Gray Joins MGH Institute of Health Professions
BOSTON - Wellesley resident Susan H. Gray, MS, CCC-SLP, MEd, has joined MGH Institute of Health Professions as a Clinical Instructor in the

Gray, who is a doctoral candidate of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at City University of New York, won the Jeanne S. Chall Award from the International Reading Association in 2013 for her dissertation proposal, “Empowering Adult Struggling Readers with Morpho-Phonemic Word Study and Civics.”
That same year, she also received a Graduate Student Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Foundation.

Gray, who has worked in several hospitals including Massachusetts General Hospital, is a certified teacher and reading specialist who has taught at the Cotting School, American School of Valencia, Spain, and public schools of Chelsea, Lexington, Newton, New Canaan, CT, and Pelham, NY. In addition, she runs a private practice where she evaluates and treats clients with a wide range of spoken and written language difficulties.
Gray, who is doing research regarding reading disorders, has presented papers and seminars for the American Speech and Hearing Association and the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading.

Gray earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, from Boston University, Master of Education in Reading and Language from The Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Boston University, and a Master of Philosophy in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from City University of New York.
