Weston Road Closed Thursday For Paving

Work is planned to last one day.

Weston Road will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, July 15, from Turner Road to Linden Street starting at 7 a.m., for its final paving.

The work (which is scheduled weather permitting) is planned to last only one day, according to a letter sent to residents by the town. After that, said Project Manager William Millett at the Department of Public Works, there will still be incidental work, such as sidewalk work, to do. But compared to the construction that's been done on the road so far this summer, "It'll be a lot less disruptive than it has been," Millett said. All work is set to be finished at the site by July 30.

Millet said the work will begin at Turner Road and head toward Linden Street, and the crews will relieve detours along Rte. 9, Central Street and Kingsbury Street as soon as they are able.
