Wellesley motorists can cross yet another traffic hassle off their list of worries this summer - Weston Road is open again.
The project's end follows news that the DOT's years-long work on the Rte. 16 bridge across Rte. 9 wrapped up a few weeks ago.
Weston road was closed starting at 7 a.m. yesterday for final paving courtesy of the Wellesley DPW and a few subcontractors, and the work was going as anticipated in the early afternoon. Today, at about 10 a.m., drivers were able to access the street - now smooth and sporting clean new asphalt, with only a minor delay as a police officer directed two way traffic around a DPW truck in the north-bound lane.

Permanent road markings are set to go on the road Monday, and some remaining work, including finish work on the sidewalks, which have granite curbing but are mostly dirt at the moment, will be finished by July 30.
