4 Things High School Athletes Must Do Now
Westborough High School athletics director announces requirements for fall sports programs.

Athletics Director Johanna DiCarlo sent a reminder to Westborough Patch for parents of high school athletes. In it, she noted these requirements for students who plan to play in the fall sports season:
- Complete the online athletics registration found on the high school athletics website.
- Make sure the school nurse has a copy a physical dated July 22, 2010 or later for football or July 25, 2010 for all other fall sports.
- Fill out a medical history questionnaire for the school athletic trainer. This is found on the website.
- Take the ImPact Concussion Baseline Test. Instructions can be found on the website. Students playing golf or cross country do not need to take this test.
Other important things to note include:
- Community Education will bill a Westborough High School activity fee of $185 two weeks after the season begins.
- Dates, locations and times for tryouts can be found on the website.
- Coaches may be contacted directly using the Coaches Directory found on the website.
- A student athlete and parent meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Westborough High School auditorium. All student athletes and parents are expected to attend.
- The Department of Athletics has changed its scheduling program. The new athletics calendar can be found at www.mwlma.org and should be functional by the start of tryouts. It can be accessed through a link on the high school athletics website.
