8 Phones Stolen During Route 9 Burglary

Westborough Patch publishes all arrests.

Eight phones worth about $4,000 total were stolen during a break-in at a Route 9 business early Wednesday, Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon said today.

Police responded to Applied Communications, 135 Turnpike Road, for a burglar alarm at 4:18 a.m., according to the Westborough Police log.

The front door being smashed in set off the alarm, Gordon said.

The phones were taken from the display case, he said.

Gordon believed that Applied Communications sells AT&T phones.

Meanwhile, police made one unrelated arrest Wednesday.

At 3:56 p.m., on West Main Street, police arrested Stephen K. Adjei, 35, of 12B Sever St., Apt. 20, Worcester, on a straight warrant.

At 6 a.m., police received a report from Bellows Road at East Main Street of a suspicious motor vehicle.

At 8:08 a.m., police received a report from Wachusett View Drive of a burglar alarm, which proved accidental.

At 11 a.m., police received a report from Green Street of a larceny.

At 5:17 p.m., police received an animal complaint from East Main Street.

At 7:28 p.m., police received a report from Turnpike Road of a motor vehicle accident with property damage.

At 8:35 p.m., police received a report from East Main Street of a burglar alarm, which proved accidental.

At 9:41 p.m., police received a report from Lyman Street of a suspicious person, which proved unfounded.
