Civic Club's Christmas Tree Sale Benefits Many Westborough Organizations

The sale is upon us, and the fundraiser allows the Westborough Civic Club to assist many organizations in town.

After summer break, the Westborough Civic Club began its meetings again, and many of them included announcements of many donations made by the club. Westborough Food Pantry, Fine Arts Education Association, Friends of the Library, Project Graduation, Appalachian Service Project, both Boy and Girl Scouts and many of the schools sports and arts clubs throughout the town have benefited.

These organizations are helped by the Club solely by the profits of its annual Christmas Tree sale, which starts on Thanksgiving weekend and continues through Christmas Eve.

The Club sells 1,400 trees, 500 wreaths and many coils of balsam roping from the East Main Street lot in Westborough.

This is the 40th consecutive year of the sale, and the club has also added supporting a new cause - the Westborough Turkey Trot. The Club also donated an AED unit for the town library and the donation of a much needed new flat screen TV for the Senior Center.

The sale continues on weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas Eve in the Tufts Machine Lot, 55 East Main St.
