Dykema Awarded Agriculture Honor

The Holliston Democrat represents Westborough Precinct 2.

As part of Massachusetts Agriculture Day on April 3, Rep. Carolyn Dykema, D-Holliston (representing Westborough Precinct 2), was awarded the Agriculture Day Award. The annual award is given to the legislator who has done the most to support agriculture, a $489 million dollar industry which is also responsible for maintaining almost 520,000 acres of open space.

“Meeting the growing demand for locally grown products is creating tremendous opportunities for our agriculturally-based businesses. With benefits like improved nutrition, local jobs and increased tourism, it’s a win for our families, our environment and our economy,” she said.
