The public is invited to The Willows for Westborough’s 18th Annual Celebration of Senior Health and Fitness Day, which will enlighten participants on how to take control of their health to enjoy active and full lives.
PEP (Personalized Exercise Program) Fitness Director, Karen McKenzie along with Executive Director, Ben Colonero will lead the free celebration in The Willows’ Community Room beginning with registration and a complimentary continental breakfast at 9 a.m.
At 10 a.m., key note speaker Sandra Boris-Berkowitz of Laughing Matters will talk to the audience about the power of humor to relieve stress and promote healing. Learn how incorporating laughter into your life for a daily dose of happy healing can benefit you tremendously. Boris-Berkowitz, M.Ed., LRC, is a Laughter Yoga Leader certified by the Dr. Kataria School of Laughter Yoga. She is also a teacher and a licensed rehabilitation counselor.

The program will also include a discussion with guest Ann Pautazis on how proper nutrition fuels the body and mind. Pautazis is a Nutritionist Registered Dietitian doctor in Worcester, MA.
A break will follow the program with refreshments and a range of activities including blood pressure testing, mini massages, balance evaluations and strength testing. McKenzie and Colonero invite visitors to stick around afterwards for a tour of their independent living community and the PEP Center, as well as raffle giveaways.
