Sudbury Valley Trustees, the Bolton Agricultural Commission, and the Bolton Conservation Trust invite the public to join them for a Farm Protection Options workshop at Schartner Farms, 279 W Berlin Road, Bolton, MA on Monday, June 18th, from 7pm to 9pm. Farmland is disappearing at a rapid rate in Massachusetts, even as a new generation of young farmers is emerging, and consumers are searching for ways to eat more locally-produced foods. If you are a farm owner looking for ways to conserve your farm or make it more viable, or if you have farmland in your community you would like to see protected, please attend this event.Speakers will provide an overview of conservation and farming tools such as:
- Conservation Restrictions for Agricultural Preservation
- MA Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program
- MA Farm Viability Program and APR Improvement Program
- Community Preservation Act
- MA Conservation Land Tax Credit
