The Rotary Club of Westborough will present its second annual “Living With Diabetes (Type 2)” program at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Mill Pond School.
The evening will consist of a discussion of: prevention/early warning/daily life, by Al Whitaker from ADA; education – “ dia-beasity,” by Diabetes Educator Corinne Hetzler from Marlborough Hospital; nutrition, by Barbara Casaceli, dietitian, Marlborough Hospital; and diabetes the disease, by David M. Harlan, M.D., chief of Diabetes Division, UMass Memorial Healthcare.
There will be a panel discussion: Dr. Harlan and presenters discussing “Eating Plans and Physical Activity.”

The goal is to inform the public about diabetes. The topics covered are: lifestyle, early warning signs, metabolism, treatment, nutrition and exercise. There will be literature, information and assistance from the ADA, and Marlborough Hospital staff.
